Overview

A tiny island accessible from its much larger cousin Dumaguete City, Apo is blessed with hundreds of species of fish and corals and is supervised by the Protected Area Management Board. Only the
traditional method of fishing is allowed ensuring this sanctuary remains a hallowed place where marine life can thrive and exist in peace.

  • Dive and snorkel in the the sunlit waters of popular dive sites Coconut Point, Mamsa, Cogon, Rockpoint and Chapel.
  • Admire big-eyed Jacks, bumphead parrotfish and sea snakes.
  • Swim with sea turtles, called “pawikan”, and observe them in their natural habitat. If you’re lucky, witness them hatch and make their birth journey to the sea.
  • Go trekking through varied terrain and visit the abandoned lighthouse
